The Chair Alarm Mat is designed for use in a chair. With a simple 'plug-&-play' system the care giver can quickly set up the mat pad and have it operating with ease.
These sensor mats are most effective when concealed under the cushion to proactively give the care giver advanced warning of any patient at risk of falling if they attempt to leave their chair.
The mat has its own alarm monitor enabling it to function as a standalone unit but can also be easily connected to a nurse call system using the nurse call lead provided. This allows the care giver to choose between localised alerts or centralised nurse call system activation, prompting the care giver to ascertain the patient's safety. Once the patient returns to the chair the alarm is reset automatically.
The Chair Alarm Mat is powered by battery but can also be powered by mains if an additional mains adaptor is purchased.
